To prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVD-19), we are  moving all requests for appointments to a telephone triage system. Please ring us between 08:20 -10:00 am if you need medical advice for acute conditions. After the doctors call, patients who need to be seen in person will be given a face to face appointment at the surgery.

Alongside telephone, video, face to face appointment we now have online consultations.

This health advice can be accessed either via https://www.online-consult.co.uk/org/the-ridgeway-surgery

Or for patients who have an online access, can access it via the "health advice" tab.

Most  telephone appointments each day with the doctor are book on the day. Once these routine appointments are full we still book all patients with an urgent medical problem for a call back on the same day if needed.

There are also Nurse, Health Care Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist, First Contact Physiotherapist and Social Prescribner appointments.

The GP appointments are generally 10 minutes if you have more than one issue to discuss please make it clear to the doctor at the beginning of the appointment so that everything is covered.

Keeping or cancelling appointments

We ask patients to inform reception if they no longer need a booked appointment. There is always a patient who can take that appointment even if it’s at short notice.
